You’ll learn the basics: How to speak with an American voice. How to use the American resonance pattern. American intonation pattern is beyond important to eliminate your accent, so you’ll spend a lot of time on that.
Why is English the hardest language to pronounce? There are a few reasons:
- English has 5 vowel letters, but 16 vowel sounds! How do you know what sound to use?
- Each consonant may have up to 5 different pronunciations! That’s not true for most other languages! One symbol equals one sound. That makes English tough!

How to reduce your accent.
The first thing you need to do is train your ear to hear the differences between your speech & accent and the Standard American English accent.
Then you’ll want to learn to use a smooth speaking pattern. Not choppy. Most people are out there asking you to push out on every letter you see. But since Engish is spelled wrong, and we don’t know what the letters represent just looking at them, that’s some egregious advice!
